About Badrinath Dham

Badrinath is among the 108 Divya Desams (sacred Vishnu temples) and the only one in the Himalayas. Located in the Chamoli district between the Nar and Narayana mountain ranges, the temple faces north and is believed to be the winter abode of Lord Vishnu. The hot spring (Tapt Kund) beside the temple is considered sacred for bathing before darshan.

Spiritual Highlight

The Maha Abhishek of Lord Badrinarayan during the brahma muhurta (early morning hours) is a deeply moving experience. Badrinath is often described as the dham where you feel closest to liberation (moksha).
