Knee problems / arthritis
No trekking required at any dham. Helipad to temple is 100-400m on paved paths. Palkhi (palanquin) arranged at Yamunotri on request.
Heart disease / hypertension
Doctor clearance recommended before booking. Our team carries emergency oxygen at every dham. Ground staff monitor pace and wellbeing.
Breathing difficulties
Supplemental oxygen available at all dham points. Itinerary paced at one dham per day for gradual acclimatization. No rushing.
Diabetes management
All hotels have refrigeration for insulin. Vegetarian meals throughout. Ground team briefed on medical needs at Day 1 briefing.
General mobility / walking
Our oldest pilgrim was 82 years old. If you can walk 400m on flat ground, you can complete Char Dham by helicopter. Walking support provided throughout.
Hotel comfort at altitude
Hotels selected specifically for: ground-floor room availability, attached washrooms, hot water, heating, and accessibility. No compromise on comfort.

Our ground staff walks beside pilgrims who need support at each dham. We match pace to the slowest member of the group - there is no rush. Darshan is not a race.
Palkhi Service at Yamunotri
Yamunotri has a longer path from the drop point to the temple. We arrange palkhi (palanquin carried by bearers) for pilgrims who prefer not to walk. Standard package: available at cost. Premium: included.
Emergency Oxygen at Every Dham
Altitude effects are real above 3,000m. Our team carries portable oxygen cylinders at all dham stops. We have never had a pilgrim need medical evacuation - but we are prepared if it's ever needed.
Senior-Appropriate Hotel Selection
We specifically select hotels with: ground-floor or elevator-accessible rooms where available, attached washrooms (no shared bathrooms), hot water availability round the clock, and room heating at altitude stops.

Excellent team of professionals at Saffron Chariot. Highly reliable and committed service. We were a team of 8 persons with four above 80 years old, and availed Do Dham Yatra by helicopter. Everything was organised properly. Hotel booking was in 3-star properties at very good locations. Every location contact person was very helpful and committed. Kedarnath and Badrinath family trip - everything well planned
We are very much satisfied and happy with Saffron Chariot. They organized an excellent travel plan for us from Delhi to Kedarnath and Badrinath. Everything was well planned and authentic. Our group of 12 members enjoyed the trip immensely. The tempo traveller provided was good and comfortable. The hotels were of good quality, and the meals were tasty. Special arrangements at the Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham premises allowed us to visit the mandirs 3-4 times during our one-night stay, which was a highlight. While we faced some water issues at Sonprayag and Badrinath, the support was exemplary - available 24/7 and promptly answering our calls. Our planner, Ravi, was very disciplined and supportive. Highly recommend their services for a well-organized pilgrimage.

I arranged this trip from the UK after doing a little research and it turned out to be a very successful Char Dham Yatra.
