About Kedarnath Dham
Kedarnath is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and the most sacred Shiva temple in the Himalayas. Located at 3,584m near the Mandakini river, the temple is believed to be over 1,200 years old and was reconstructed by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century. The stone structure has survived centuries of Himalayan weather — a marvel in itself.

The pre-dawn Abhishek puja at Kedarnath, with the first light of morning falling on the Himalayan peaks, is considered one of the most spiritually powerful moments in the Char Dham circuit.
