Ek Dham Yatra - Single Dham Packages by Road

Ek Dham (single dham) Yatra is the shortest and most affordable Char Dham option - a focused road pilgrimage to just Kedarnath or just Badrinath across 2 to 5 nights. Best for pilgrims with very limited time, repeat visitors who want one specific dham, or those testing whether a longer Char Dham yatra is feasible.

TL;DR · Ek Dham covers a single dham - Kedarnath or Badrinath - in 2N/3D to 4N/5D. Two ex-Haridwar shorts (2N/3D Badrinath, 3N/4D Kedarnath) and two longer ex-Delhi packages (4N/5D each). 4-tier pricing matrix from ₹7,989 per person (12 pax Standard). Kedarnath darshan uses the IRCTC heliyatra shuttle from Guptkashi or the 16 km foot trek from Gaurikund. For pilgrims wanting both Shiva and Vishnu darshan in one trip, see Do Dham Yatra.

Frequently asked questions

What is Ek Dham Yatra?

Ek Dham (literally "one dham") is a focused single-dham pilgrimage covering either Kedarnath or Badrinath, but not both and not the full Char Dham circuit. Itineraries are 2-5 nights, road-based, with the Kedarnath darshan reached by helicopter shuttle (own cost) or by trek.

Why choose Ek Dham over Do Dham or Char Dham?

Time and budget. Ek Dham is the shortest format we offer (as little as 2 nights / 3 days). Pilgrims who already visited Kedarnath last year and want only Badrinath this year, or pilgrims with 3-5 days of leave, are the typical Ek Dham customers. The 4-tier pricing makes it accessible for tighter budgets too.

How does Ek Dham Kedarnath work?

You drive to Guptkashi (the ex-Haridwar 3N/4D and ex-Delhi 4N/5D variants both base here for the darshan day). On the darshan day, you have two options: (1) book the IRCTC heliyatra shuttle from Guptkashi to Kedarnath (~₹6,000-₹13,000 per seat, paid direct on the IRCTC portal), or (2) drive to Gaurikund and trek 16 km up to Kedarnath, overnight on-trek, then trek down. Helicopter ticket and VIP darshan are not included in our packages.

How does Ek Dham Badrinath work?

Badrinath is a drive-in dham - no trek or helicopter shuttle needed. The 2N/3D ex-Haridwar package drives Haridwar -> Badrinath in one long day (320 km, 10-12 hours), darshan on Day 2 morning, return on Day 3. The 4N/5D ex-Delhi package gives extra acclimatisation nights and a Joshimath stop.

Is Ek Dham suitable for seniors or first-time pilgrims?

Mostly yes. Ek Dham Badrinath (any duration) is fine for seniors - no trek, single darshan day. Ek Dham Kedarnath requires either a helicopter shuttle slot (which can sell out) or a 16 km trek which is not senior-suitable. First-time pilgrims often prefer the longer Char Dham helicopter for completeness.

When is Ek Dham yatra best done?

Same as the broader Char Dham season: late April / early May (post Akshaya Tritiya temple opening) to mid-June, then mid-September to early November (before snow closes the Dhams). Avoid July-August.
