Badrinath Yatra Packages - All Options
Badrinath sits at 3,133 m on the banks of the Alaknanda - one of the four cardinal Char Dhams and one of the 108 Divya Desams of Lord Vishnu. The 7th-century temple, rebuilt by Adi Shankaracharya, houses a self-manifested Shaligram murti of Badrinarayan. Unlike Kedarnath, Badrinath is a drive-in dham - no trek required.

How do I get to Badrinath?
Badrinath is reached by road via Joshimath - the gateway town. The drive is 320 km from Haridwar (10-12 hrs) or ~520 km from Delhi (~14-16 hrs). Helicopter packages fly directly to Badrinath helipad (~1.5 km from the temple). No trek required - this is a fully drive-in dham unlike Kedarnath.
Which package includes Badrinath darshan?
Every Char Dham package, both Do Dham options, both Ek Dham Badrinath packages, and the same-day Do Dham helicopter all include Badrinath. The cards above show all options sorted by from-price.
Is Badrinath suitable for senior pilgrims?
Yes - Badrinath is the most senior-friendly of the four Dhams. The temple is a drive-in (no trek), the morning Tapt Kund bath is optional, and the temple courtyard has level access. Pilgrims with mobility issues can do darshan via wheelchair-accessible side entry. Heart and breathing concerns at 3,133 m are still real - acclimatise on the way up.
When is Badrinath open?
Late April or early May (kapat opening date varies year to year, typically a few days after Akshaya Tritiya) until mid-November (closing on Vijayadashami / Bhai Dooj). Specific 2026 dates publish in late 2025; see temple timings for live updates.
What is the Tapt Kund?
Tapt Kund is a natural hot sulphur spring just below the Badrinath temple. The traditional pilgrim sequence is bath at Tapt Kund, then darshan, then offering of Brahma Kamal flower for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors. The water is hot enough to need careful entry; separate kunds are maintained for men and women.
Can I visit Mana village from Badrinath?
Yes - Mana is 3 km beyond the Badrinath temple and is the last Indian village before Tibet. Stops include Vyas Gufa (Ved Vyas's cave), Ganesh Gufa, Bhim Pul, and the Saraswati Mukh where the river surfaces from underground. All our Badrinath packages include the Mana visit on the darshan day if time permits.
