Char Dham Yatra by Road - All Packages

The traditional Char Dham road yatra covers all four dhams across 8 to 11 nights, with overnight halts at the Panch Prayag confluences and lower-altitude towns between sectors. Tier-priced from Standard through Premium across group sizes 2 to 24 pilgrims, with Kedarnath reached either on foot from Gaurikund or by IRCTC helicopter shuttle from Phata.

TL;DR · Char Dham by road is the affordable, traditional way to complete all four dhams. Itineraries are 8N/9D ex-Haridwar with Kedarnath helicopter shuttle, or 9-10N road-only with Kedarnath trek. Pricing scales with group size: tighter per-person cost at 12+ pilgrims. For pilgrims with limited time, see Do Dham Yatra or Char Dham by Helicopter. For single-dham yatras, see Ek Dham.

Frequently asked questions

How long does Char Dham by road take?

8 to 11 nights depending on the package. The 8N/9D ex-Haridwar uses a Kedarnath helicopter shuttle from Phata to save 2 days. The 9N/10D and 10N/11D ex-Delhi packages are pure road with a Kedarnath trek from Gaurikund (16 km up + 16 km down).

Is Kedarnath trek mandatory on a road yatra?

No - all our road packages now allow swapping the Kedarnath foot-trek for an IRCTC helicopter shuttle from Phata or Sersi (paid direct). Pilgrims who cannot trek and cannot get a heli shuttle slot should consider Char Dham by helicopter instead.

What is the price range for Char Dham by road?

From ₹16,805 per person (Do Dham 5N/6D 24-pax Standard) to ~₹40,000+ for Premium 4-tier 12-pax char-dham 9N/10D. The price scales with group size; bigger groups pay less per person. See each package page for the full matrix.

Are road yatras suitable for senior pilgrims?

Yes, with caveats. The driving days are long (6-9 hours over hill roads) and the Kedarnath sector requires either trek fitness or helicopter shuttle booking. Pilgrims with motion sickness, back pain, or chronic respiratory issues are usually better suited to Char Dham by helicopter.

When is the best time for Char Dham by road?

Late April to mid-June (post Akshaya Tritiya, before monsoon) and mid-September to early November (post-monsoon, before snow closes the Dhams in November). Avoid July-August - landslides and road closures are routine.

What is included in a road yatra package?

Pickup and drop at Haridwar Railway Station / Dehradun Airport (or Delhi for ex-Delhi variants), all transport with hill driver, accommodation across all overnight halts, daily breakfast and dinner. Helicopter shuttle tickets, VIP darshan, lunch, and personal expenses are not included unless explicitly noted.
