Do Dham Yatra by Road - 5N / 6D
The traditional Do Dham road itinerary: Kedarnath on foot from Gaurikund (one overnight on-trek), then Badrinath via the Chopta route, with returns through Rudraprayag. Starts from Dehradun Airport or Haridwar Railway Station. The most affordable way to complete both Shiva and Vishnu dhams.
TL;DR · A 6-day traditional road yatra to the two most sacred Himalayan dhams. Kedarnath is reached on foot - 16 km trek up from Gaurikund (after a short local jeep transfer from Sonprayag), with one night stay on-trek before trekking back down. Badrinath is a day 4 drive-in via Chopta. Pricing is tiered by group size and vehicle class, with a 4-tier hotel ladder. Pilgrims who cannot trek should consider the 3N/4D helicopter Do Dham or the same-day chopper.

Day 2
Guptkashi → Sonprayag → Gaurikund → Kedarnath (trek)
Sonprayag → Gaurikund 3 km (local jeep ₹100-200 pp); then 16 km trek
Trek up. Pony, doli, or porter options at own cost.
Overnight: Kedarnath
Day 3
Kedarnath → Gaurikund → Guptkashi
16 km trek + 20 km drive, 8-9 hrs
Trek back down on foot. Local jeep Gaurikund-Sonprayag (₹100-200 pp).

Guptkashi → Badrinath via Chopta
210 km, 7-8 hrs
Chopta - the "Mini Switzerland" of Uttarakhand. Evening Badrinath aarti if time permits.

Badrinath → Rudraprayag
160 km, 6 hrs
Tapt Kund bath, Brahma Kamal, Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Bhim Kund, Saraswati origin.

Drop at Haridwar railway station or Dehradun airport. Tour end.

Optional Kedarnath helicopter from Guptkashi: ₹7,000-₹12,000 per person (up to 80 kg, subject to availability via heliyatra.irctc.co.in). VIP darshan at Kedarnath is mandatory for same-day helicopter pilgrims at ₹2,500 per person, collected by the temple committee.

Important notes
- All vehicles in the hills are non-AC. Mountain hotel services cannot be compared to plain areas - we use the best available at each stop.
- Kedarnath stay is ordinary, sharing basis - on-trek accommodation is basic at best.
- The Sonprayag-Gaurikund-Sonprayag local jeep transfer (~3 km each way) is paid directly to the operator at ₹100-₹200 per person and is not included.
- Pony, doli, or porter on the Kedarnath trek are at own cost - rates are seasonal and posted at Gaurikund.
- In case of a hike in hotel rates, the package cost will be amended accordingly.
- If group members do not arrive or depart with the group, additional transfer charges apply.
- Any expense incurred due to weather, road closures, or landslides is not covered. We will re-route where possible but cannot guarantee completion if a road is shut.
- Budget hotels in India are basic - please set expectations accordingly.
