TL;DR · This is the shortest Ek Dham (single-dham) option we sell. Two long-drive days (~10-12 hours up, ~12 hours back via Rudraprayag) bookend a single morning of darshan at Lord Vishnu's Himalayan abode - so back-to-back driving fitness matters more than altitude fitness. Recommended for working professionals and seniors who can sit through two long highway days but cannot spare a full week. If you can spare 4 nights from Delhi instead, the longer ex-Delhi sister itinerary is far gentler - see Ek Dham Badrinath 4N/5D ex-Delhi. Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1

Haridwar -> Badrinath

320 km, ~10-12 hrs

Long driving day. Pickup at Haridwar Railway Station or Dehradun Airport. Drive via Rishikesh, Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, Chamoli and Joshimath up to Badrinath. Check-in and overnight at Badrinath. Rest of the day at leisure to acclimatise (Badrinath sits at 3,133 m).

Day 2

Badrinath darshan - Mana - Rudraprayag

160 km drive, ~6 hrs

Early morning bath at the Tapt Kund hot sulphur spring, then darshan of Lord Vishnu at Shri Badrinath temple - one of the 108 Divya Desams. Visit Mana village (the last Indian village before Tibet), Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, Bhim Pul and the source of the Saraswati. Drive down to Rudraprayag for the night at the Alaknanda - Mandakini sangam.

Overnight: Rudraprayag

Day 3

Rudraprayag -> Rishikesh -> Haridwar

165 km, ~6 hrs

After breakfast, drive back to Haridwar via Rishikesh - brief stops at Ram Jhula, Lakshman Jhula, and Triveni Ghat if time permits. Drop at Haridwar Railway Station in time for the evening Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri before your onward train.

Shri Badrinath temple

Badrinath sits at 3,133 m and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his Badrinarayan form - one of the four cardinal Char Dham seats and one of the 108 Divya Desams sacred to Vaishnavites. The morning routine is a dip in the Tapt Kund hot sulphur spring just below the temple, followed by darshan and offering of the Brahma Kamal flower for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors.

Mana village & the Saraswati

Three kilometres beyond the temple lies Mana - the last Indian village before Tibet. Visit Vyas Gufa (where Ved Vyas is said to have dictated the Mahabharata to Ganesha), Ganesh Gufa, Bhim Pul, and the Mukh of the Saraswati where the river surfaces from underground and joins the Alaknanda.

Joshimath & the Panch Prayag corridor

The drive up and down passes through Joshimath - the seat of one of Adi Shankaracharya's four mathas and the gateway town for Badrinath - and the Panch Prayag corridor (Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, Nandprayag, Vishnuprayag). The Day 2 overnight halt is at Rudraprayag, the Alaknanda - Mandakini sangam.

Important notes

All vehicles in the hills are non-AC. AC does not work in the hilly / ghat region.
Day 1 is a long-drive day - 320 km / 10-12 hours from Haridwar to Badrinath. Pilgrims with motion sickness or chronic back conditions should consider the longer ex-Delhi sister itinerary instead.
Badrinath sits at 3,133 m - mild AMS is possible. Stay hydrated, avoid alcohol on Day 1, and keep Diamox handy on doctor's advice.
VIP darshan at Badrinath is not included - pay the temple committee directly if you want priority access.
Helicopter ticket and any heli VIP darshan charges are not included. We do not bundle the Badrinath helicopter on this package.
In case of any hike in hotel rates, the package cost will be amended accordingly. Festival and long-weekend dates are quoted separately.
Budget hotels in India are basic accommodation - hot water, attached washroom, and a clean bed are guaranteed; expectations beyond that are tier-dependent.
If the group does not arrive or depart together, additional transfer charges apply.
Any expense incurred due to bad weather, road closures, or landslides is not covered. We will re-route where possible but cannot guarantee completion if a road or trail is shut.
