Valley of Flowers + Hemkund Sahib - 5N / 6D
A trekking yatra that pairs the alpine bloom of the Valley of Flowers (UNESCO biosphere, 3,858 m) with the steep climb to Hemkund Sahib - the Sikh Gurdwara at 4,329 m surrounded by seven snow-capped peaks, devoted to Guru Gobind Singh. Starts from Dehradun Airport or Haridwar Railway Station.
TL;DR · This is a trekking yatra, not a road yatra. Day 2 begins with a 14 km gradual ascent from Govindghat to Ghangaria. Day 3 is a 5 km trek into the Valley of Flowers (pony NOT allowed - on-foot only). Day 4 is the steep 6 km climb to Hemkund Sahib (4,329 m) - the highest Gurdwara in the world. Pricing uses a 2-tier hotel ladder (Luxury / Deluxe), scaling by group size from 2 pax to 24 pax. The yatra runs only in the monsoon-fed bloom window (typically June to early October).

Day 2
Rudraprayag → Govindghat → Ghangaria
130 km drive + 14 km trek
Drive to Govindghat (4 hrs), then 14 km gradual ascent on the pilgrim trail. Arrange porters at trek base.
Overnight: Ghangaria

Ghangaria → Valley of Flowers → Ghangaria
5 km each way (trek only)
Trek to Valley of Flowers (3,858 m). Brahma Kamal, fane Kamal, Pushpawati stream. Pony NOT allowed - trek is the only option inside the valley.

Day 4
Ghangaria → Hemkund Sahib → Ghangaria
6 km each way (steep climb)
Steep 6 km trek to Hemkund Sahib (4,329 m) - sacred lake and Gurdwara devoted to Guru Gobind Singh. Trek back to Ghangaria.

Day 5
Ghangaria → Govindghat → Rudraprayag
14 km trek + 130 km drive
Trek down to Govindghat, then drive to Rudraprayag.

Important notes
- All vehicles in the hills are non-AC. Mountain hotel services cannot be compared to plain areas - we use the best available at each stop.
- Ghangaria stay is on-trek and basic. Budget hotels in India are basic accommodation - please set expectations accordingly.
- Pony, doli, and porters are NOT permitted inside the Valley of Flowers. The 5 km stretch from Ghangaria into the valley must be done on foot. Pony is available on the Govindghat-Ghangaria and Ghangaria-Hemkund stretches at own cost.
- The Hemkund Sahib climb is steep (6 km gain to 4,329 m). Cover the head with a monkey cap or woollens at altitude, hydrate continuously, and trek in slow, steady motion.
- The Valley of Flowers National Park operates seasonally (typically June to early October). Dates are subject to weather and regulatory clearance.
- In case of a hike in hotel rates, the package cost will be amended accordingly.
- If group members do not arrive or depart with the group, additional transfer charges apply.
- Any expense incurred due to weather, road closures, or landslides is not covered. We will re-route where possible but cannot guarantee completion if a road is shut.
