Three nights at Auli give you enough time for the Joshimath chair lift, the Gurso Bugyal trek, and a relaxed pace - no rushing. The Rudraprayag bookends are the bonus: a Panch Prayag riverside town that most tours skip. Rudraprayag -> Auli

Drive via Karnaprayag, Nandprayag, Chamoli and Joshimath. Joshimath is the seat of one of Adi Shankaracharya's four mathas and the gateway to Badrinath. Continue to Auli by road.

Day 3
Auli local sightseeing - Joshimath chair lift
Local
After breakfast, ride the Joshimath - Auli chair lift / cable car (own cost) for sweeping views of Nanda Devi and the Garhwal Himalayas. Evening at leisure.

Auli local sightseeing - Gurso Bugyal trek

Trek to Gurso Bugyal - a high-altitude meadow with panoramic views of Trishul Peak, Dron Parvat and Nanda Devi. Auli sits at 2,519 - 3,050 m and is one of India's premier skiing destinations. Return to the hotel for the night.

Auli -> Rudraprayag
125 km, ~3-4 hrs
Descend from Auli back to Rudraprayag. Evening at the Triveni Sangam ghat at the Alaknanda - Mandakini confluence - one of the holiest stops on the Char Dham road yatra.

Rudraprayag -> Dehradun / Haridwar
155 km, ~4-5 hrs
After breakfast, drive to Dehradun Airport or Haridwar Railway Station for onward journey.

Rudraprayag - Panch Prayag
Rudraprayag is one of the five sacred Panch Prayag confluences of the Alaknanda - the point where the fierce Mandakini joins the Alaknanda below the Rudranath Temple. Pilgrims on the road yatra to Kedarnath pass through here, but most package tours don\'t stop. Two nights here let you visit the Triveni Sangam ghat, the Rudranath / Chamunda temples and the riverside markets.
Garhwal Himalayan drive
The drive from Rudraprayag to Auli passes through Karnaprayag, Nandprayag, Chamoli and Joshimath - a continuous ribbon of confluences and hill towns along the Alaknanda. This is the same corridor used by Char Dham road pilgrims, but here you stop and stay rather than rushing through.

Important notes
- All vehicles in the hills are non-AC. AC does not work in the hilly / ghat region. Mountain hotel services cannot be compared to plain areas - we use the best available at each stop.
- The Joshimath - Auli chair lift / cable car is excluded - book and pay direct on the day. Subject to operating hours and weather.
- The Gurso Bugyal walk is a light trek - reasonable fitness needed; carry trekking shoes with grip and a windproof layer. Pony / porter at own cost where available.
- Drink only tap or boiled water; eat only hot, freshly cooked food at altitude. Carry monkey cap, raincoat, canvas shoes with grip, and personal medication.
- In case of any hike in hotel rates, the package cost will be amended accordingly. During festivals and long weekends, these prices are not valid - quoted on request.
- If the group does not arrive or depart together, additional transfer charges apply.
- Vehicles travel only where they are allowed by local transport unions / authorities; AC tempo travellers and coaches are restricted in some hill towns. Guests manage onward access on their own where vehicles are stopped.
- Any expense incurred due to weather, road closures, or landslides is not covered. We will re-route where possible but cannot guarantee completion if a road or trail is shut.
