Read this before you book
Ladakh is not a hill station. Leh sits at about 3,500 m and the itineraries cross Khardung La at 18,390 ft and Chang La at 5,486 m. Altitude sickness is common, it does not care how fit you are, and it is the one thing that ruins Ladakh trips.
Every itinerary we sell builds in a full rest day on arrival in Leh before any sightseeing. That day is not padding and it is not optional. Skipping it to squeeze in an extra excursion is the single most common mistake first-time visitors make.

How much does a Ladakh tour package cost?
Per person, from ₹11,278 for the shortest three-night itinerary at Standard category with twelve travellers sharing, up to roughly ₹1.2 lakh per person for the longest trips at Premium Plus with only two travellers. Every itinerary is quoted across seven hotel categories and six group sizes, and the full table is printed on each package page. The price falls as the group grows, because the vehicle cost is shared.
Which Ladakh package should I choose?
It comes down to time and whether you want to fly or drive. Under a week: fly into Leh, and the 3 to 10 night fly-in itineraries waste none of your days on approach roads. Nine nights or more, and if the journey matters as much as the destination: take an overland route from Manali, Chandigarh, Jammu or Srinagar. Do not want to book flights separately: the fixed departures include return airfare from Delhi, Mumbai or Ahmedabad. Ride: the Royal Enfield expeditions run 6 to 10 nights.
How high is Ladakh, and will the altitude be a problem?
Leh sits at roughly 3,500 m, and the itineraries cross Khardung La at 18,390 ft and Chang La at 5,486 m. Altitude affects most first-time visitors to some degree. Every itinerary builds in a full rest day on arrival in Leh before any sightseeing, and that day is not optional - skipping it is the single most common cause of a ruined trip. Do I need a permit for Nubra, Pangong or Hanle?
Yes. Inner Line Permits are required for Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, Hanle and Turtuk, and we arrange them as part of the package - you carry original photo identification. Foreign nationals of certain countries need a Protected Area Permit applied for well in advance, so tell us your nationality when you book rather than on arrival. A Ladakh Ecological Development Fee is also payable.
When is the best time to visit Ladakh?
The season runs roughly April to October, and the exact window differs by itinerary - each package page states its own validity dates. Flight-based packages open earliest, from the beginning of April. Overland routes depend on the passes clearing of snow, so they start later and Manali is the last to open. July and August are warmest and busiest; September gives the clearest skies and thinnest crowds.
Why does the price change with group size?
The vehicle is the largest single cost and it is shared. Two people pay for a whole Scorpio or Innova between them; twelve split a Tempo Traveller. That is why the per-person price falls from 2 pax to 12 pax on every table. There is one step where it rises slightly, between 6 and 8 people, because that is where the group moves up from an Innova to a Tempo Traveller and the larger vehicle resets the per-head cost.
What is the difference between the seven hotel categories?
Each itinerary is quoted across seven categories from Standard to Premium Plus, and each maps to named hotels in every town on the route - those names are printed on each package page. Luxury is a Leh upgrade specifically: it places you in a higher-grade Leh hotel while Semi-Luxury properties are used at the other stops. Semi-Luxury is the most-booked category overall.
Are flights included?
Only on the six fixed departures, which include return airfare from Delhi, Mumbai or Ahmedabad inside the per-person price. Every other itinerary is quoted Leh airport to Leh airport, and you book your own flights. We can advise on timings either way.
Can you handle a pure vegetarian or Jain group?
Yes. Two fixed departures travel with their own pure-vegetarian Gujarati kitchen and cook for the whole trip, which removes the biggest practical problem vegetarian travellers hit in Ladakh - remote supply lines and limited menus at altitude. For other itineraries, tell us at the time of booking and we will brief the properties.
Is Ladakh suitable for elderly parents?
It can be, with the right itinerary. Choose a fly-in trip with the acclimatisation day intact, keep to Leh, Sham Valley and Pangong rather than the long Hanle or Umling La routes, and pick a higher hotel category so the nights are comfortable. Avoid the overland crossings and the bike expeditions. Anyone with a heart or lung condition should get medical clearance first - this is genuinely high altitude, not a hill station.
