Fly in, fly out
Leh Ladakh Packages by Flight
Thirteen itineraries that begin the moment you land in Leh. Flying in removes the two or three days the overland routes spend getting to Ladakh, which makes these the practical choice for anyone working with a week or less. The trade-off is altitude: you go from sea level to 3,500 m in a couple of hours, so every itinerary here opens with a full rest day before any sightseeing. From Leh you travel out and back - Sham Valley and Alchi to the west, Khardung La and Nubra to the north, Chang La and Pangong to the east, and on the longer trips Tsomoriri, Hanle and Kargil.

How many nights do I need for a fly-in Ladakh trip?
Three nights is the minimum that works, and it covers Leh and the Sham Valley only. Five to six nights adds Nubra and Pangong, which is the combination most first-time visitors come for. Seven to eight nights lets you add Kargil or Tsomoriri without rushing. Nine or ten nights covers the remote south-east - Hanle and the Changthang plateau. Anything under three nights does not leave room for the acclimatisation day, and we will not sell it.
Are flights included in these packages?
No. These thirteen itineraries are priced from arrival at Leh airport to departure from Leh airport, and you book your own flights. If you would rather have the flights bundled, see our fixed departures, which include return airfare from Delhi, Mumbai or Ahmedabad on daily services.
How high is Ladakh, and will the altitude be a problem?
Leh sits at roughly 3,500 m and the itineraries cross Khardung La at 18,390 ft and Chang La at 5,486 m. Altitude affects most first-time visitors to some degree. Every one of our itineraries builds in a full rest day on arrival in Leh before any sightseeing, and that day is not optional - skipping it is the single most common cause of a ruined trip. Oxygen cylinders are available through the tour (₹800 to ₹1,000 per day plus ₹200 per mask). Anyone with a heart or lung condition should speak to their doctor before booking.
Do I need a permit for Nubra, Pangong or Hanle?
Yes. Inner Line Permits are required for Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, Hanle and Turtuk. We arrange them as part of the package - you need to carry original photo identification. Foreign nationals of certain countries require a Protected Area Permit that must be applied for well in advance, so tell us your nationality at the time of booking rather than on arrival. A Ladakh Ecological Development Fee is also payable.
Why does the price change with group size?
Because the vehicle is the largest single cost and it is shared. Two people pay for a whole Scorpio or Innova between them; twelve people split a Tempo Traveller. That is why the per-person price falls steadily from 2 pax to 12 pax on every price table. There is one step where it rises slightly - between 6 and 8 people - because that is the point where the group moves up from an Innova to a Tempo Traveller and the larger vehicle resets the per-head cost.
What is the difference between the hotel categories?
Each itinerary is quoted across seven categories, from Standard up to Premium Plus, and each category maps to a named hotel in every town on the route - those names are listed on the individual package pages. The Luxury category is a Leh upgrade specifically: it places you in a higher-grade Leh hotel while Semi-Luxury properties are used at the other stops. If a particular property matters to you, tell us before booking and we will confirm availability.
